OK, here we go... In order to have shaded walls with line work displayed over them (on the final hard copy print)the shading layer must be the last layer used. All other line work must be located on layers before the shading layer......

The walls are now thick and the walls are shaded using OPTIONS/MISC/AREA FILLS UNDER LINE (yes)/CLICK TRAVERSE BACKWARD, but, the dimension lines or any line placed over or thru the wall seem to disappear only over the shaded portion of the wall when looking at the final print. on the screen I can see the lines, any comments??

Hi Ken, thanks for your quick response. changing the print color works, however, my walls are thick .7mm and the shaded walls overlap or are on top of the walls, therefore the walls lose their thickness. Can I move the walls to the 'front' in order to maintain thick walls? I have the same results w/ hatching or using area fill.

Our standard is to set Drawing Color 11 equal to Print Color Grey (145,145,145). Then anything that we want printed in grey scale we draw using color 11. Easiest way I know to do it.

Comments: I would like to shade walls to 50% or 75% gray scale, however, when I plot I use black on white colors. How can I print gray scales with either hatching areas or using area fill.
